Privacy policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Money Mode System (app.getmoneymode.com) and the free version (free.getmoneymode.com). We keep it short and in plain English.

Who is responsible

MoneyModeLab, run by [your full name or business name], [business ID, if you have one], [street address, postcode, Finland]. Contact: arte@artemedia.fi.

The free version

The free version keeps everything you type inside your own browser on your own device. We do not receive it, store it or see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.

The paid app: what we collect

WhatWhyLegal basis
Your email addressTo sign you in with a one-time link or code, and to match you to your subscriptionContract (providing the service)
The numbers you enter: income, bills, spending, goals, debts, notes and settingsTo show your dashboard on every device you sign in onContract
Subscription status and plan (monthly or yearly)To know whether your account can editContract
Payment records (handled by Stripe)To take payment and keep legally required accounting recordsContract and legal obligation
Technical logs (such as IP address) kept briefly by our hosting providersSecurity and keeping the service runningLegitimate interest

We never see your card number. Stripe handles it. We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use analytics or tracking cookies in the app. We do not use your numbers for anything except showing them back to you.

Browser storage

The app uses your browser's local storage only for things it needs to work: keeping you signed in, your theme and currency choice, and small preferences. These are essential, so no cookie banner is needed.

Who processes your information for us

Some of these companies are based outside the EU, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see your information, correct it, download it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used. The app already lets you download a backup of your numbers and delete them yourself. For anything else, or to delete your email and account too, write to arte@artemedia.fi. We will reply within one month.

If you feel we have handled your information wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Finland that is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Security

Your numbers travel over encrypted connections and are stored in a database where each person can only reach their own record. No online service can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

Money Mode System is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and tell subscribers by email.
